The Prophet`s household, Ahl ul-Bayt, has taken by Muslim scholars of a high considerable dignity. The dignity has been studied here with regard to two well-known Hanbali scholars, Ibn-e Hanbal and Ibne Teymiyyah`s views. Comparatively considered, the two scholars have been of a respectful view to  Ahl ul-Bayt (a). Methodologically viewed, they both have been counted from Ahl-e hadith, the people of tradition. Ibn Hanbal`s extent of faithfulness to Islamic traditions and texts is well clear. The traditions in his works have been taken as a base for attaining his opinions in the field. As is shown in the study, he has an interconnected and systematic view on the high position and dignity of Prophet`s Household. Ibn-e Hnbal has not presented a consideration on the tradition and this seems to be a failure in his studies. Given lacking of an acceptable document for the traditions in his Mosnad and Faza`el u-Sahabah, all his narrated matters would become invalid. Yet, his attempt seems to be very useful when we see that by his measures Islamic inheritances have been saved. The other scholar, Ibn-e Teymiyyeh, claims to be a salafi faithful to Ibn-e Hanbal and, with a relative faithfulness to the method of Ahl-e hadith, goes the same way. He, however, makes his ideas appear and presents his special opinions in many cases. His method is preferred to that of Ibn-e Hanbal; for one may attain his view easily. But it should be stated that when selecting the traditions on the Household of the Prophet he has involved in damage. In spite of this, his consideration of Ahl ul-Bayt`s dignity is considerable and respectful, though in some cases he has gone astray. In this study, paying attention to the works of theses scholars, their ideas have been extracted, classified and titled and, then, critically examined. Their cases of similarity and difference have been analyzed; and finally, Ibn-e Teymiyyeh`s going astray has been shown and criticized. The new finding of the study lies in bolding Ibn-e Teymiyyah`s sense of greatness opposite to his misleading statements.
