Sheikh Horr Ameli as one of the well-known narrators of the second half of the 11th century, beyond his narrative face is a theologian who has deducted and defended particular beliefs of the subject of controversy in different ways. The purpose of the “methodology of theology” is exploring ways that in science of theology brings us to the purpose and goal i. e. deduction of ideas and their defending. In deduction the narrator achieves a correct knowledge of the teachings of the religion, and in defending explains and adjusts and proves that knowledge and rejects the ambiguities and opposing beliefs. Sheikh Horr Ameli has used Traditional and Rational methods in deducing beliefs. In the Traditional method, he only considers evidence-based as well as frequently reported news as a proof and does not consider so about appearances of Quran and even the appearance of statements of the Prophet (PBUH) unless the interpretation of which is expressed by Imams (AS). And in the Rational method, he considers the authority of intellect in proving the audio reason, and has utilized the theoretical, practical and instrumental functions in the service of intellect. Therefore, intellect and tradition are not relevant. He has benefited from theoretical intellect in employing implications and practical intellect in understanding the inherent good and evil of deeds and their derivations and instrumental intellect in adherence to the emergence, spiritual frequency, and interpretation. In defending Sheikh Horr Ameli has used several methods, including definition of terms, mentioning the basics, the possibilities, and benefits and in the area of adjusting the teachings has done so using methods such as preceding the intellectual teachings to the Traditional teachings as well as scientific classification. He has benefited from proving methods in terms of matter and appearance in the proving field, and with several arguments, including the Zouhaddein argument, Sabr and Taghsim, and Kholf has proven the religious teachings and in the field of responding to ambiguities has benefited from methods, including the rejection of the doubtful reasoning, rejection of the fundamentals and requirements of ambiguity, contradictory response, and in the stage of rejecting contradictory schools with different methods including rejecting the basis and infrastructure, using the principles of the other party, superficial synchronization with the other party, referring to the obvious, he has rejected the opposing schools.
