Our research aims to identify (Omar bin Abdul Aziz and his confrontation with other teams). And Omar bin Abdul Aziz is the eighth of the Umayyad Caliphs. His reign lasted for two years, five months and four days. His caliphate ended with his poisoned death. The importance of the research lies in benefiting scientifically and practically from those methods and means that Omar bin Abdul Aziz used in confronting the other sects (the Qadariyyah, the Murji’ah, the Kharijites and others in his era), to repel the intellectual challenges that he promotes in the Islamic world with the aim of alienation and dissolution in Western cultures. And also the Shiite sects. The one who confronted them was positive and returned the right to them. Also, for the importance of the research is the human need to know how to confront groups that are offensive to Islam, scientific, social, economic, and political, but unlike the Shiite sects, where its owner was right and Omar Abdul Aziz worked to do justice to this group and return the right to it by preventing insulting Imam Ali, peace be upon him, in The pulpits, the return of the land of Fadak, and many other things mentioned in the research, in contrast to the other abusive groups that he faced. And it prompted me to study Omar bin Abdul Aziz and his confrontation with the other sects (Qadariya, Murji’ah, Kharijites, Shiites and other sects) as he is considered the best Umayyad caliph as well as his short reign and during this short period how he worked all these reforms and confronted all these sects with great skill. As for the method used in this thesis, it is an inductive-analytical approach that analyzes the historical events in that time period to reach the most prominent motives and reasons that caused the Caliph Omar bin Abdul Aziz to encounter other sects in his era (Al Qadariya, Marja’iya, Kharijites, and others). The result of the research was that the Caliph had confronted him with the heresies of all Islamic sects through debates and other matters, and sometimes he confronted them with military methods. As for the Shiites, it was different to confront them because they are rightful owners. Unlike the rest of the sects, he worked to return the fertilized land of Fadak and prevent insulting Imam Ali (peace be upon him). ) In the pulpits and the rest of the positive things for the Shiites.
