Talking about the Muslim woman is of special importance, because of her active role in life, as she has contributed throughout successive ages by participating in the making of civilization in all its aspects, and no one can deny her this role, as she has participated in cultural, social, and religious matters. Rather, she went beyond that to participate in the political life, and she showed in this field savvy, ability, and good measure.
Islam guarantees the woman the right to life as the man, so it forbids killing her as he finds her buried alive and equalizes between them in reward and punishment according to what each of them has offered to himself of good or evil, as she is a sane, aware being who is held accountable for the actions that come, and it shows that she has rights and that she has duties, and this is what characterized Islam gives women their rights and duties, but the period of the three caliphs was characterized by a transitional period from pre-Islamic thinking to Islamic thinking. Despite their Islam and their jihad, man, by nature, does not change overnight, but rather in sequence.
However, we do not find this situation in the Commander of the Faithful, Ali bin Abi Talib, peace be upon him. This is due to the fact that the Imam lived all his life in the arms of the greatest Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family. Al-Salami’s thinking is complete, incomplete and not distorted by ignorance, as happened to the three caliphs. The imam had a distinct vision of women’s rights and worked hard to consolidate that, preserve her life, preserve her moral entity, and enjoy in some areas the right to equality with men, except in what the Sharia stipulates otherwise, women have the right to equality with men and do not Preferring one over the other except by piety, Imam Ali had a deep respect for women’s life, raising it to such an extent that he showed it in his description of the age of ignorance by saying conditions are turbulent, hands are different, and the crowd scattered, in eternal sorrow, shameful girls and shameful fetishes.
