The wandering man of modern time feels the need for the spiritual heritage of the divine religions more than ever. The wisdom teachings of Old Testament, Nahj Al-Balagheh and the Ghorar Al-Hekam are among the most important spiritual heritage of the divine world’s religions which can highly promote epistemological and spiritual aspects of human beings. What we mean by wisdom teachings is the practical philosophy that teach the philosophy of life and a better way of life to human beings. This study aims to compare the teachings of the wisdom of the Old Testament and Nahj Al-Balagheh and the Ghorar Al-Hekam and to categorize them as fallow: moral, religious, devotional, economic, political and health matters. These teachings include wise sayings and advice that have a practical strategy in the way of life and guidance of human beings. Wisdom teachings mostly includes ethical themes which deal in two necessities and abandonment morals, expressing moral virtues and vices, giving insight into the necessity of doing or leaving them and leading to choose the right path. The most important moral themes of the two texts are related to moral requirements such as good manners, piety, patience, humility, etc., and immoral such as jealousy, greed, arrogance, selfishness and the like.

Shared features of teachings of these two texts has provided the ground for their comparison though by reviewing and comparing these texts, of cource the Islamic texts of Nahj Al-Balaghah and Ghorar Al-Hekam have more examples and they are richer in terms of content than the books of the Old Testament.
