The Concept of the Heart and its Functions From the Perspective of the Qur’an

This faculty makes man capable of using concepts coming to his/her mind through different senses as permises for logical reasoning and finding new results.  The second faculty is the faculty of emotion and feeling. Through this faculty man becomes hopeful or lover or humble or certain or hopless or arrogant or hateful or ambivalent or jealous or greedy and the like، and as a result the heart will be ascribed as sane or insane. As also we find in the Qur’an verses that there are some functions regarding “ghalb” like the will for As also we can find in the Qur’an some important functions for “ghalb” (heart) like reflecting upon whatever we see around us from the nature and it’s wonderful aspects to the history of humanity and different nations and what happened to them due to their beliefs and behaviors and care for the right destiny which we should choose for ourselves.
