The role of sports programs in Iraqi channels in shaping public awareness of sports issues Dijla Channel, the studio program as a model (Survey study in Dhi Qar province)

The purpose of this study is to investigate the “impact of sports programs on Iraqi networks on the formation of public awareness about sports issues” (Case study: Al-Jamahir Studio program on the Dijli Channel- A survey study on audiences in Dhi Qar province). These sports programs work to find, encourage, and develop the talents and capacities of young people, as well as strengthen the sense of national belonging among the masses, and also include a collection of information and knowledge about various sports techniques and activities. What a person has gained through personal experience, whether by watching or practicing or studying sports activities. Now in this research, relying on survey method and using questionnaires, interviews and observations, the required data were collected and analyzed. The statistical population of this study was (387) people who were randomly selected from the people of Dhi Qar province. The method (SPSS) was used to extract the results and the method (Cronbach’s alpha) was used to prove the accuracy of the questionnaire. The most important results are: Sports programs, increase public awareness and play an important role in reducing violence in stadiums. These programs play an active role in increasing solidarity and strengthening the national spirit among the people in encouraging national teams and strengthening patriotism among them. The “Studio of the Republics” program provides information so that the audience can have a discussion.

 Also, this program has been able to satisfy its audience by analyzing crises and sports issues, and this has made the audience more interested in this program than other sports programs. In addition, the agents and staff of this program, and especially the host of this program, are all capable and knowledgeable people, and this has enabled them to have distinct conversations and be able to raise sensitive and important issues.
