Divisiveness among Muslims is a great threat that threatens their lives in various ways. One of the important reasons for this is ignorance or lack of familiarity with the proximity foundations of the two parties. Therefore, it is necessary to create conditions for the improvement of the current situation in order to have a peaceful life and the unity of Muslims with the knowledge of this matter. In the last hundred years, rapprochement between Islamic religions has been a fundamental step in this direction, and Imami and Ash’arite scholars have taken firm steps in this direction, which by recognizing and achieving these principles, the way to reach rapprochement can be smoother.
Appeared. In this research, the principles and foundations of proximity from the perspective of Imams and Ash’arites in this period have been discussed and it has been tried to identify the common principles of the two religions and based on it, to express solutions for this important issue. Belief in God, belief in the prophethood and finality of the Prophet (pbuh) and the Holy Book and the truthfulness of the Day of Judgment are the principles on which every person who believes in these three principles is a Muslim, otherwise he is considered an infidel. Acceptance of Islam by both parties as the first and most important principle is one of the proximity foundations of the two groups. Scholars in favor of rapprochement in the Ash’arites, in accordance with the principle of the sanctity of the takfir of the Qibla, the Imamiyya as a religion that believes in the necessities of Islam and a sect that is far from intellectual deviations, should not be insulted. Proximity Imami scholars have also issued fatwas forbidding the excommunication of other religions, including the Ash’arites. According to the proximity Imami and Ash’ari scholars, not only are the two groups far from deviant beliefs, but they are sometimes called upon to follow other teachings in matters. Acceptance of religious brotherhood is another proximity proximate basis of the Imams and Ash’arites. Narrative sources and Qur’anic interpretive texts, such as the One God, the One Book, the One Religion, and the One Prophet are among the things that confirm these principles.
Therefore, Islamic tribes have the same vision in the basic and basic rules of Islam and have many agreements on other matters, and the purpose of proximity between them is to pay attention and focus on these principles, strengthen them, commit Muslims to these principles along with scientific dialogue and interaction. And eliminating differences and prejudices in order to achieve the desired unity and integrity of the Qur’an.
