The present study tries to answer the question: “What role have geopolitical factors played in the approximation between the Islamic religions of southeastern Iran in the last century?” In a descriptive-analytical manner, using library resources and field research. This research is based on a solid question that was answered in three separate chapters. 1- What are the geopolitical factors affecting the nature, structure and religious functions in southeastern Iran? 2- What are the geopolitical factors affecting the capacities of approximation between the Islamic religions of the southeast? 3- What are the geopolitical factors affecting the challenges of approximation between Islamic religions in the southeast? Regarding the above three questions, the three main parts of this research are the percentage of finding appropriate answers to these questions. The result of the second chapter regarding the first question was as follows: The main factors that have affected the nature-structure and religious functions of the recent century in southeastern Iran It has been a component of geography, politics and population. The neighborhood of Sistan and Baluchestan with the two newly established countries of Afghanistan and Pakistan on the one hand and the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf on the other hand has played an effective role in the religious origin of its inhabitants. Neighbors have had a direct impact on the cultural structure and religious functions of Balochistan society. The results of the second question also show that the three factors mentioned above can increase the approximation of religions in this province. Historical, geographical and cultural commonalities with other Iranian ethnic groups are one of the most important components of religious rapprochement. In the third answer, it was also concluded that these factors, while convergent, can lead to religious divergence if not properly recognized and applied Leads . Internal and external political factors that sometimes take on a religious flavor play a key role in religious divergence.
