The purpose of this study is to investigate the effective role of citizen journalism in changing the attitude and thinking of society or changing the mental form in public opinion And Created by the local press. Also, be aware of the impact of the content presented on Facebook. In this study, according to the method (descriptive survey), a questionnaire was designed and distributed among (340) students of Qadiseh University as a statistical population.

This study assumes that citizen journalism has a significant impact on the media. Covers various events. Controls news models in old and new media outlets. In fact, Iraq itself has interacted with this kind of media concepts. In this way, Sahafa Mawatan has an active and participatory role in shaping the public image of the people.

The most important results are: People in the statistical community have shown great interest in Facebook, because it reflects the views and opinions of public opinion and plays a role in shaping it and developing awareness. Also, most of the statistical community shares the events taking place on their personal Facebook pages, and since sharing is intended to be as large as possible, the owners of these pages are encouraged to do so and can be used as a source of information. He trusted it, also because most of the information transmitted from reputable sources such as international agencies and the like is often published on personal pages and through sharing.

Finally, this study recommends that experts and intellectuals should be involved in educating the public about (citizen journalism) and using this tool to guide and raise public awareness. Of course, it is necessary to ensure the accuracy of posts published on Facebook before sharing the content. Because some of these pages are exploited by users to advance their goals due to personal animosity and enmity, and as a result, they must be considered.
