The dilemma of receiving information and news among the public and disseminating it on a large scale as a primary source, the speed of information and the emergence of many media outlets have led to a great momentum in information and confusion for the recipient, which led to the importance of media education, which uses its skills in the ability to enlighten the recipient with the correct understanding of media content and the ability to The correct choice of information, critical thinking, and the ability to analyze and evaluate what is presented and viewed. The research problem crystallized in the role of media education skills in media consumption (a survey study on Iraqi youth in Baghdad governorate). According to this issue, the researcher started by asking: What is the role of media education skills in Media consumption among the youth of Baghdad governorate? The aim of this study is to know the role of media education skills in media consumption among Iraqi youth in the province of Baghdad. Where the researcher describes the phenomenon and uses the spss program and puts them in tables, then tabulates them, interprets the data, and shows the results, and the results were. Media education has an important and positive role in media consumption among Iraqi youth in the province of Baghdad. The results also showed that the ability to critical thinking has an important and positive role in media consumption. The results also showed that the ability to analyze and evaluate media messages has an important and positive role in media consumption.
