Muslim Religious Scholars, especially Shiite Religious Scholars, have paid great attention to the Book of Allah. No book has received as much care, attention and study as the Noble Qur’an in all its aspects: with its reading, grammar, language, eloquence, abrogator, abrogated, and reasons of its revelation. Imami Religious Scholars have also made many contributions in this field, which have resulted in valuable and lasting effects.
One of the important compositions in the science of ” Similarities in Quran and differences in its interpretations ” is the book “ The Similar and the Different ” written by Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Shahrashub Al-Mazandrani.
In this book, he analyzed and researched the similarities of the Qur’an in an objective way, and during that he discussed various topics of legal rulings, jurisprudence, the principles of beliefs and the sciences of the Qur’an.
In this regard, he said that the resemblance to the Qur’an can be viewed from three angles: the difference in religious issues, the contradictory verses, and the verses that can be interpreted to have two or more meanings and should be interpreted in the more correct sense. By focusing on the aforementioned ” Similarities in Quran and differences in its interpretations ” book, this study concentrated on explaining the exegetical views of Ibn Shahrashub in clarifying the similar and problematic verses in the Qur’an.
Ibn Shahrashub had followed different methods in the scientific approach to correct the suspicions and deviations that exist in this field.
