 Social networking sites are a major part of the lives of many, as a result of the technological development taking place in society, and the use of social media is not limited to certain people, but rather it is available to everyone, so social networking sites work in different sizes.  Including (YouTube and Facebook) to inculcate the values ​​of dialogue, cooperation and understanding, to provide advice and guidance, and to try to reduce the phenomenon of family violence against children, to find solutions and suggestions, prevent its spread in society, how to prevent it, protect the child and preserve his dignity as a person, as well as the definition that covers this phenomenon in all its forms that define  The stability and balance of societies in general and the Wasta community in particular, and this is what prompted us to study: (The role of social media in reducing the phenomenon of family violence for children) as a model on a random sample from the public of Wasit Governorate. This study aimed to clarify the most important manifestations of violence, which negatively affect  The individual and the family in general, and to identify the most important objective and subjective reasons that lie behind the rampant phenomena of violence in society. The researcher used the descriptive approach to study it, because it is one of the best curricula for media studies, as the study relied on an organized random sample of (420) subjects.  To a set of results, in the forefront of which is that most of the people of Wasit Governorate are interested in issues of domestic violence, which are covered by social networking sites,  The study also showed that children who use social media for long periods have negative effects on their behavior at home.  Through the practical study, the researcher concluded that social media has a role in educating society by spreading issues and topics that contribute to reducing the phenomenon of child domestic violence.  The researcher also produced a set of recommendations, the most prominent of which is the researcher, the media outlets that have children’s programs, to include their targeted educational and extension programs through the YouTube application.  Kavogi, the researcher, stressed the need to expand the work of the social police and increase its effectiveness to reduce the manifestations of domestic violence, and to punish the
