The role of Facebook as a social media in educating Iraqi women about their legal rights: a field study (2015-2020)

This study aimed to reveal the extent of Facebook’s role as a social media in educating Iraqi women about their legal rights, by conducting a survey study on an available sample of (202) women from different segments of society in Dhi Qar Governorate, southern Iraq, and the study found that the Facebook category came in first place, among the list of the most social media outlets that women rely on to raise awareness of their legal rights, at a rate of (53%),  A group agrees with a paragraph that Facebook provided me with information regarding my legal rights, it came in first place, with a rate (46.8%).

   As for the emotional effects, the group agrees with a paragraph that Facebook contributed to maturing my legal awareness about my rights in Iraqi law, came first, with a rate (54.7%), as for the behavioral effects, a group agreed with the paragraph that Facebook increased my desire to pursue my legal rights, it came in first place, with a rate of (51.7%), and the study revealed a link between Facebook’s role as one Social media and educating Iraqi women about their legal rights.
