At the end of the fifth century AH / eleventh century AD, the Islamic countries were subjected to a fierce crusader aggression through which the Crusaders managed to occupy most of the cities of the Levant. And it continued for nearly two hundred years of direct military and ideological friction between the Western and Islamic worlds. It is possible to explain the role of the Shiites of all their sects in confronting the Crusader invasion, and what the Shiite jihad represents as a first pillar in explaining the nature of the Shiite presence in the Levant and their position on the Crusades, according to their different sects. The Shiites had a key role in resisting the Crusaders invaders in the Levant, through their continuous jihad against the Crusaders. Despite the importance of that era and the abundance of what was written about it, the studies that deal with it analytically are still scarce.  Most of the writings devoted to dealing with the events of those “campaigns” tended to display and narrate without going into depth in the analysis that reads the role of the Shiites in those wars with its interactive causes, not just from a religious perspective. This is what prompted us to study the role of the resistance, a scientific and analytical study, through which we prove the role of the Shiites and their resistance against the Crusader invasion. Our tagged study (the role of Shiites in the Levant in resisting the Crusader invasion) consists of an introduction, four chapters and a conclusion.
