Directed satellite channels are one of the most important tools for promoting political, cultural and ideological issues and have been popular in many developed countries due to the widespread use of these media. Using the cultural content of media programs and their strategic goals, these countries try to change the thoughts and behavior of their audiences and convey their cultural messages to the audience through these channels. Therefore, in this study, we intend to examine the role of cultural programs of popular channels in setting general priorities and also following the basic principles in the form of cultural information in those channels. In this study, using a descriptive method and a questionnaire, the people of Dhi Qar province were selected as the statistical population. And to the main question, “What is the role of cultural programs in popular channels in prioritizing the Iraqi people?” They replied. Also, after reviewing the obtained data, the results were obtained, the most important of which are: Satellite channels have a great impact on their audience, and over time this impact will be more and more, because the target group of this channel are young people and changing their beliefs, interests and social upbringing. Also, this channel tries to attract and employ different, influential and social people by using effective methods. Ultimately, the absolute freedom of these channels and programs is far greater than that of the local media, and that is the goal of satellite networks.
