The new media has become a main focus in society, especially after the revolution that gave birth to modern information and communication technology, and despite the development of new media, it did not cancel the old media, but it greatly developed the old media and other media, which led to the merger of various media. Which in the past were independent means that had nothing to do with each other, because those separations abolished the limits of the means and mass communication became a place of an international or global character. In addition to that, the role of the Iraqi press as an image for the Iraqi public and its ability to create influence in decision-making and express the desires and requirements of the street, bearing in mind that some newspapers in the world are transforming from a paper newspaper to an electronic newspaper, and this does not reduce the value of the newspaper and its impact, as the world today is turning into a digital world. People are accustomed to electronic reading, especially in the era of the Internet, smart phones and social media, which have taken the place of television, radio and newspaper, as these phones collect all these features and present them in a scientific, easy and interactive way. In this message, we try to answer this main question: What is the role of the new media in the transformation of the Iraqi press? We are trying according to this main purpose of the thesis, which is to know the role of the new media in the transformation of the Iraqi press? Let us examine this issue. In this thesis, he relied on qualitative research and used several methods and tools of the qualitative approach. The most important results are: The researcher found that the new media has made it easier for the sender to obtain more information and data at any time. The researcher found that the respondents see a speed in the spread of news. The researcher found that the recipient turned into a sender. The researcher found that the new media made the press more receptive because of the effect on the design, color and image. In the end, it can be recommended that the researcher recommends the need to provide an organized and legal environment to reduce randomness and abuse of freedom of expression. The researcher recommends the necessity of enacting electronic law to reduce chaos and obligating the sender to adhere to the ethics of the end in the new media.
