Modern media is one of the most important necessities of our contemporary life and it is one of the most important sources of information in the world around us and the link between all institutions, whether religious, social or political institutions, and it is the most prominent use in the field of political work in all countries where electronic media plays an important role in political activity by activating  Every electronic means to transmit events and the course of the political process, including participation, elections, propaganda, culture, its establishment, and everything related to politics. The relationship still exists between electronic media and political work, and this study came to address (the role of electronic media in the political process in Iraq)

 The problem revolves around their elitist position and the extent to which the media message, under circumstances and changes, can shape the political direction, adopt it or change it, and accordingly, the political process, which is one of the cognitive effects of modern media, is important for this study also lies in knowing the main points that politicians are looking for.  In electronic media, and clarifying the topic or issue in the field of media and electronic sciences and stating their necessity and priority.

    Electronic media occupies great importance in the political process in media research in general and political communication research in particular.  The aim of the study is to know the nature of the role that the electronic media plays in the field of politics and to reveal the resort of Iraqi politicians to this media.  Where the results showed the respondents that the electronic media is the highest rate of publishing political content and that the electronic media contributed to the political process in Iraq very much, and revealed that the platforms of the social sites have a role in mobilizing public opinion about political issues. The researcher came out with several conclusions.  The political and knowledge of what is going on in the political process in Iraq, and that social networking sites have brought the distance between the politician and the public in hearing their views, and I also conclude that the electronic media is characterized by the speed of transmission of news, events and political changes within the Iraqi government system.  It distorts public or political figures or religious symbols and holds accountable such actions that offend the Iraqi society and take into account the legitimate issues of the public that are published through electronic media platforms and have wide resonance in Iraq and be dealt with quickly by the ruling political class.
