The researcher has dealt with the words of belief in the thirtieth part of the Holy Quran and has studied and researched them in the light of the theory of semantic fields.
This research has been done by descriptive, statistical and analytical methods. One of the most important goals of the research is to know the words of the belief and its types, and the meaning of these lexical terms and to be aware of the interpreters’ opinions about these terms. Among the most important results that the researcher has achieved are:
The theory of semantic fields has a great role in highlighting the precise lexical meanings of semantic units; This is due to the interrelationship between words in the same semantic field, where the Arabs were ahead of others in using words and collecting them in semantic fields, but they did not formulate it with one theory, but that theory was called semantic fields, which is a branch of linguistics in the twentieth of the last century. By counting the words and dividing them according to the semantic fields, the researcher found that the “thirtieth part of the Holy Quran” includes twelve semantic fields that are different in size. The words related to monotheism are collected in the second chapter, and are divided into five sections, which are: (Names of divine essence, divine essential attributes, attribute of negation, action attributes and words related to unity of divine Worship) So that the holy word “Allah” has been repeated “fifty-six times”. The terms prophecy, angels, faith, and polytheism are collected in the third chapter, and are divided into four sections, which are: (Words related to prophecy, words related to angels, words related to faith and words related to disbelief and polytheism) and the word “infidelity” and its derivatives are repeated ten times, but the word “aamano” is repeated eight times. The words related to the resurrection are collected in the fourth chapter, and are divided into three parts, which are: (Words about resurrection and its characteristics, words about heaven and what it’s, and words about fire and what it’s) So that the word “fire” has been repeated nine times, two times in the form of definite and seven times in the form of indefinite. Also, the word “Jahim” is repeated five times and the word “Jahannam” four times, which are two letters for “nar” or hell. In the fourth chapter, the terms related to the resurrection occupy most of the terms in this section. In a way that includes the terms doomsday, and the terms heaven and hell. Then there are the terms monotheism in its various forms. Terms related to essential attributes are the least common terms in semantic fields.
