The picture has attracted the attention of critics, writers and rhetoric scholars since ancient times; The study of the image occupied a wide and important field of interest in modern Arab criticism, and trends differed between one critic influenced by Arab heritage and another who tried to benefit from what was studied and reached by Western critics regarding the image, its importance and the elements of its composition. The Egyptian writer Ahmed Fouad the star begged in various colors of pictorial, because of its great importance in the construction of the poem and its artistic beauty. He began with all kinds of similes in the shadow of wonderful poetic images, personified the tangible things, and then ascended to the human spirituality and emotions. The diagnostic pictures were more common and beautiful in his diwan than his anthropomorphic pictures. As for the symbolic images, the poet resorted to the symbol element as a kind of pictures full of many connotations.
This research deals with the study of the aesthetics of the poetic image in the poetry of Ahmed Fouad Najm, which has a fundamental role in drawing the poet’s ideas and imagination based on a descriptive-analytical method, which consists in studying the content of the image theoretically, and then searching for the main topic that includes the verses in which the poet used the types of The graphic elements, in addition to the proportionality of his pictures with the purpose he wants to convey to the addressee, and from this perspective, the research deals with the contents and structure of the image.
