This study aims to clear on the important role played by women’s media programmes, specifically the “you Program” in the Iraqi Al-Furat channel, by monitoring and analyzing specific models of the program’s episodes to introduce society, especially Iraqi women, to their civil, political and social rights, and to provide them with sufficient awareness and ability necessary to achieve its goals in life, both personal and work.
This study is a descriptive analytical research, and the researcher used the topic analysis method using the topic unit to find out the phrases or ideas related to the issue of civil rights, and the topic is considered the most important unit of content analysis when studying the effects of communication and the formation of trends.
The researcher chose the “you” program as it is considered one of the most prominent programs for the civil rights of Iraqi women, and seven random samples were chosen within the year 2021.
The study of analyzing the topic concluded with a set of results, most notably: the success of this program and its great popularity in Iraq and the Arab world, the impact of this program on Iraqi women and their awareness, the program’s topics of diversity and differences in the interest of women’s awareness and education, the suffering of women in Iraqi society from a lot of Problems, making them vulnerable to psychological and physical harm.
The study came out with several recommendations, the most important of which are: the need for this type of program, the problems of society, especially women, are many, the insufficiency of individual humanitarian initiatives despite their importance, not even media initiatives despite their importance, but rather the state must intervene, through Parliament and the legislation that should be enacted To be reflected on all state institutions and civil society institutions, to give women their rights, and more awareness of women should be made at every time and place.
