The title of my thesis that I put before you is (Refinement of the soul in terms of purposes and mechanisms according to the Qur’anic verses, fasting as a model), where this message came to explain the most important purposes and mechanisms that pertain to self-discipline through an explanation of the methodological foundations.

This thesis was divided into a preface and three chapters, where I spoke in the preface, which are introductory topics related to the subject, and dealt with in the first chapter the theoretical and practical foundations of the Qur’anic methodology in self-discipline, in which I spoke about liberation and sweetening, because a person must free himself from sins and transgressions and sweeten them with honor and virtues, as well as explaining the role of Observing and knowing God Almighty is the way in which a person senses God Almighty’s observance of him She talked about repentance and its role in purifying and purifying the soul, and about self-knowledge, its types and capabilities, and then dealt with belief in God as the first things that God Almighty wanted to establish in the soul and a basis for its perfection and advancement. About virtues and noble morals as the goal of the mission of all the messengers and prophets, peace be upon them, because by instilling them in souls, they become a reward for them. Then I talked about supplication and its importance and virtue as a door of divine mercy in educating the soul. In the second chapter, I dealt with the Qur’anic vision about self-discipline through the Qur’anic verses and the purified Sunnah. Among these legislations is the religious duty of fasting, which is considered one of the moral schools, and then I touched upon the objectives of the Qur’anic da’wah There is no self-reformation, because these goals have a role in the guidance and refinement of the soul. I then discussed the reality of fasting, its philosophy, its reason, the history of its legislation and the stages of that legislation. We also explained the categories of fasting, its conditions, and its spirituality, because fasting is a time cycle in which a person is trained in self-education. As for the third chapter, I dealt with the sublime meanings that fasting instills in the souls, as it is a training, practice, and accustoming to human beings to display noble morals, self-control, and control their instincts and desires. Disciplining the senses with fasting, and then I talked about self-control, considering fasting as one of the means of self-control in all its behaviors.
