The topic of this research deals with the relationship between the use of the social media Facebook by Iraqi women and family education, and its problem was represented in the negative and positive repercussions left by the site in the culture of family education among women. The researcher embodied the problematic of her research with the following main question:

It also seeks to achieve the following sub-goals:

1- Determining the habits, patterns and size of Iraqi women’s use of Facebook.

2 – Understand the ritual and cognitive motives for Iraqi women’s use of Facebook.

3- Identifying the impact of women’s profession variable on family education through the use of Facebook.

The research relied on the survey method, and used two tools in collecting its information and data: the field observation and the questionnaire form. The questionnaire consisted of (3) axes, and the number of questions included in it was (22).

The research community was represented in the segment of women living in the city of Baghdad, and the researcher chose a random sample of (400) individuals, which was chosen by the simple random sampling method. The researcher relied on identifying the impact of demographic variables in family education on the profession variable as an example of the rest of the variables, and it was found among the research sample of (400) women that the number of female employees and housewives was close, as their number reached (265) by (158) female employees and ( 107) a housewife, and the researcher aimed from this procedure to come up with indicators of the differences between them regarding family education. The research reached a set of results, the most important of which are the following:

1- Iraqi women believe that the contents of family education were influential and beneficial to them and influenced their culture in the field of family education, as well as developing their abilities and skills in raising children and building cohesive family relationships.

2- It became clear that the effects of the family contents published on Facebook were represented in providing them with new sciences and knowledge about family education, consolidating the relationship of mothers with children, stimulating them to develop children’s sense of themselves and expanding their culture in the social field, and making modifications to the old method used in raising children. The negative effects were represented by women’s distraction from emotional interaction with the family.

3- The results indicated that the main cognitive motive for women’s use of Facebook was to learn about the culture of other societies, while the main ritual motive was for entertainment and entertainment.

4- The results showed that the habits and characteristics of women when using Facebook were as follows: The majority of women have used the site for more than three years, and the night is their preferred time to use, and they browse the site more than three times per day.

5- It was found that the profession variable has clear effects on the family education of women who use Facebook, as female employees and housewives differed in many aspects of family education. While the housewives confirmed that the use of the site within the framework of family education confused them because of the conflict between the contents of traditional socialization and the electronic content.

Previous studies that the researcher reviewed did not address the issue of the effect of using Facebook on family education. Rather, these studies dealt with partial aspects of the relationship between this site and family education, and thus this research has completely differed from it.
