Evaluating the opinions of Iraqi researchers in the twentieth century on the reasons for the transfer of the Islamic caliphate from Medina to Kufa

The importance of the idea of the message lies in the study of the subject by highlighting the reasons and motives that led to the transfer of the capital of the caliphate from Medina to the city of Kufa. The study contained an introduction and three chapters. The first chapter came under the title (Colleges) and consisted of two sections. The first section was devoted to introductions, and included a statement of the topic, its importance, objectives of the investigation, its methodology and previous studies of the topic. The second topic was entitled (Concepts). The second chapter contained the title (general conditions in Medina before the transfer of the caliphate to the city of Kufa) and it also contained three sections, the first topic included (political situations), while the second topic was devoted to (social conditions), and the third topic was in (Economic conditions). The third chapter contained (the opinions of Iraqi historians in the twentieth century to transfer the caliphate from Medina to Kufa), the first topic included (assessing the opinions of Iraqi historians in the twentieth century who adopted the financial reason for transferring the caliphate from Medina to Kufa), and the second topic (evaluation of the opinions of Iraqi historians in the twentieth century who adopted the men’s reason to transfer the caliphate from Medina to Kufa); As for the third, it included (assessing the opinions of Iraqi historians in the twentieth century who adopted other reasons for the transfer of the caliphate from Medina to Kufa). Among the most important findings of the investigation, which surpassed all views, was that the motives of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in transferring the caliphate to the city of Kufa were for political reasons, and other economic ones, as well as other factors represented in the location of the city of Kufa in the middle of the Islamic countries and its proximity to the Levant.
