“Kashf al-Haqaiq al-Muhammadiyya” is the book written by Ghias al-Din Mansour Dashtaki Shirazi (948-866), the oldest son of Sayyid Sadr al-Din Muhammad Dashtaki Shirazi (Sayyid Sanad). Sayyid Sanad wrote his philosophical views in the form of a book entitled Discovering the Facts or Proving the Obligation. There have been many scientific and philosophical debates between Dashtaki’s father and Allameh Davani. He has compiled the text of the book in twelve chapters and has dealt with important issues of theology in a special sense, in the method of the Peripatetic. Ghias al-Din has added seven chapters to Sayyid Sanad’s book and in the seventh chapter he has given his father’s biography and a brief biography. The first and second chapters of the book, which are translated in this dissertation, are dedicated to the proof of the necessity of existence and monotheism, respectively.
