The will of Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (peace be upon him) is one of the most important issues raised in Islam and is one of the basic beliefs of the Shia religion. Many disputes and disputes have been raised about this issue. Twelfth-century Shia borrows its beliefs from the source of revelation and imams, and believes that Ali (peace be upon him) is the immediate successor and caliph of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of God be upon him). They have collected narrations that have reached them from the Prophet (peace and blessings of God be upon him) and Imams (peace be upon them). The present study tries to follow up the descriptive-analytical method and the method of gathering library information of wills in three time periods from the perspective of Imami Shias and show that in the era of Imams during the era of Imam Baqir and Sadiq (peace be upon them) that the peak of the publication of culture and the education of the Ahl al-Bayt, books on testamentary writing were compiled which are among the lost works. In the third and fourth centuries, which is the flourishing period of Islamic civilization, the concept of testament from its literal meaning means accepting the immediate caliphate and immediate succession of Ali (peace be upon him).) was developing and Shia has written books with independent titles about wills, in these books, after stating traditions about the wills of Ali (peace be upon him) and other wills of the Prophet of God (peace and blessings of God be upon him), in the verbal method of a hadith to defend the will and The succession of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and other Imams (peace be upon him) have paid. These books are sometimes in response to the doubts that have been expressed about the testament or during the debate between the rivals to defend the testament. The same procedure has continued in the following centuries. During the Safavid period, who declared the Shia religion as the official religion of the country and supported religious scholars, other than the Shia Muslims also wrote a book entitled Virtue Writing about the proof of the will of Ali (peace be upon him) and the Shia scholars also compiled books of wills. They put chapters in their theological books in the form of chapters that proved Shia beliefs. The result of this article; Although the old books written about will are missing, but Shi’a’s interest in the matter of will has caused many books to be written about will, which defend the will and the immediate succession of Ali (peace be upon him).
