In this summary, the researcher reviews the most important thing found in his thesis, which is the analysis of the critical discourse of the news of the martyrdom of the victory leaders in the Iraqi satellite channels, which consists of five chapters. The theoretical side of the research dealt with the research details, namely discourse, ideological and media discourse, critical discourse analysis and semiological discourse, and then a review of the Van Leeuwen model that was used in practice in the fourth chapter, a model that deals with social representatives or participants in the process of rhetorical practice and the roles given to them by the discourse originator. According to the creator’s ideology, which contains a group of categories, including activation, exclusion, and others, the theoretical side also dealt with the context, its reformulation, and rhetorical practice, while the practical side dealt with the analysis of the critical discourse of ten news from Al-Ittijah channel and the same from the Tigris channel and they were analyzed according to the above model (Van Leeuwen). They were reviewed in detail in the fourth chapter, and one of the most important results of the research, according to the research objectives and questions, was a difference In the time allotted to this news and a difference in the representation of social actors and in the roles given to them, and this difference and contrast comes due to the ideology of each of the two investigated channels between support and opposition to the airport accident on 3-1-2020, and one of the important results is also the difference in the expression of the accident between (killing ) and (Citation), and the researcher took an independent critical approach in analyzing these news and stood at the same distance from the two researched channels to reach the results according to the research objectives.
