The researcher in his research under the title “Effects of Imagination and Nature in Romantic Literature and Poems of Hatam Abbas Basileh” aims to determine the poetic value of Hatam Abbas Basileh’s poems, and the degree of reflection on nature and imagination and their effects on the real understanding of the life systems of literature, as well as the motivations experienced by the poet and their impact on his mind and thinking.

The poet Hatam Abbas Basileh is one of the poets who has used nature and imagination frequently in his works.

This problem has turned his poems into a mirror that reflects the real conditions of his life through the induction of the soul in poetry, and this has allowed him to show his feelings to the audience based on a series of natural sources.

Also, this has caused his poetry to be imbued with many patterns and symbols of nature and imagination that distinguish his texts and works from others and have turned them into popular subjects for research and investigation.

The goal of the researcher was to explain and describe the poetic texts of Hatam Abbas in a way that would allow us to understand the logic that governs them and to explore their secrets. This has been done by using objectivity and scientific spirit, relying on the mechanisms and methods of preserving their artistic and aesthetic value, which reveals the author’s style and his poetic and literary genius.

In his research, the researcher has adopted a descriptive-historical-analytical approach to literary criticism, the most obvious manifestations of which are contemporary literary schools and the benefit of previous similar studies and research.

The researcher achieved a series of results, including:

1- The poet has used the symbol and links it to the nature from which it originated, and in this way he wants to connect the Iraqi citizen to his land, water, sky, palms, and birds. This issue shows the strength of attachment to the land, which is one of the most important requirements to defend its existence.

2- The poet has used a mixture of direct language, symbolism, inspiration, and literary imagery to express his poetic nature and imagination.

3- The manifestations that can be seen in his romantic poetry are exclusively related to nature and turn his poems into songs that are played with pleasant and sweet melodies that evoke the emotions of the audience.
