Modern critical and literary studies have focused on the phenomenon of displacement as a fundamental issue in shaping the aesthetics of literary texts. Deviation is the departure of speech from its familiar ideal, and one of its types is semantic deviation. It is a method of indirect performance that is carried out through several rhetorical methods and colors such as metaphor, metaphor, metonymy, and other rhetorical colors in which the meaning is shifted and changed in a way that rhetoric enters into semantics. If we review the poems of the Lebanese poet “Abbas Baizoon “, we will find that he used all kinds of individual artistic images to draw a picture of what he wants to throw on the reader and to increase his literary work on him. Among the tools of semantic displacement that the poet Abbas Baizoon used in his text are metaphor, simile and symbol. He tried to displace the old context and conceal and liken it in his own way to the modern; We can say that, by employing this technique, he tried to create glimpses of renewal in the structure of the modern Arabic poem. Those who meditate on his poems will find that the imaginary images arise from his deep influence on spiritual factors that emit in his conscience a great revolution towards the natural phenomena in their visionary dimensions that are packed with a mystical charge. This study constitutes an attempt to identify the most important poetic images of this great Lebanese poet to reveal the poet’s literary ability.
