One of the important topics in psychology is the issue of immateriality or materiality of the soul. This issue is of special importance in the works of various thinkers, especially Islamic thinkers, and experts have expressed different views on it, because many issues, including The important issue of soul survival is related to this issue, so that if we do not believe in immateriality, the discussion of soul survival will not have a reasonable and acceptable result.
The late Hakim Mullah Hadi Sabzevari in Asfar introduces the sayings of the soul more than thirty words, but the most important possibilities about the soul are four words in his opinion.
