Hereafter Salvation is a very important issue that, in addition to philosophers and theologians, has been questioned and discussed by many people. This study deals with this issue from the viewpoints of Imamiyah and Ash’arites. Each of the Imams and Ash’arites have mentioned issues such as divine guidance, faith, righteous deeds, piety, good intentions, endeavors and lack of divine authority over the servants who agree on most of these causes. According to the verses of the Qur’an and the definitions accepted by divine attributes, the Imamiyah have used divine will and human authority, wisdom and divine justice as the foundations of salvation.
They believe that God has created and willed all human beings to grow and excel in his wisdom and has provided tools for this purpose including divine nature, reason, religion and prophets. By these means men must believe in God and His apostles and do righteous deeds accordingly. If, for whatever reason they are guilty, they find the faith incomplete, and the same will, wisdom and divine justice, will save them. As a result, in addition to the faithful Muslims, other oppositionists are also rescued. The Ash’arites, on the basis of their definition of divine will, have called it absolute and have explained the means of salvation. God will causes God to create guidance in one group of people to believe and prosper, and in another to create misery and mislead them. As a result, they hope in salvation through God. As a result, the Imamiyah and Ash’arites have been unanimous in rescue, and in addition to calling Muslims “rescuers,” they treat non-Muslims as rescuers. The present study is a descriptive-analytic one based on library resources and compilation of the works of the Imamiyyah and Ash’arite theologians as well as
