The present study is  entitled ” The Comparative Study of the notion of Imamat and the characteristics of the Imam in the thought of Sheik Tousi (RIP) and Allameh Majlisi (RIP)”.

Abu Ja’afar Muhammad bin Hasan Tousi, the great islamic jurist, lived in the last years of Al-e-Bouyeh era. Allameh Muhammad Baqir Majlisi is one of the greatest and  most renowned Shi’a mutakallimin of the Safavid era. Each one of these two Islamic scholars has applied a methodical approach in his deduction of the beliefs and principles of Shi’a. For the present study their work in Kalam, in regards to the notion of Imamat, have been selected for analysis.

In the present study, in each chapter, according to the subject matter of analysis, the ideas of each scholar are discussed separately in the first place, and then,  studied comparatively.
