Practical mysticism explains the issues and solutions of seiro suluk (Journey) that means the route that leads to God. This treatise compare the practical mysticism of the two religion, Islam and eastern orthodox Christianity. Considering the prevalence of non-religious spiritualities, this study was considered necessary. This treatise opens for this comparison from the Islam to the Resale Seiro suluk of Bahra’l-ol and from the Orthodox Christian to Philokalia and examines the thought system of these two books in three parts: the issue, the solution and the end. The results of the studies show that there are significant similarities in the practical mysticism of these two religions, which despite the differences in some details in their totality are consistent and aligned. The most similarity in these two mystics is in the context of zikr (in the interpretation of Islam) and the prayer of Jesus (the Christian laity). Prayer can be summed up briefly in a spoken, subjective (imaginary), or heart special conception or image which gradually turns the seeker into a state of complete leisure and endurance, and, in Islamic terms, to a complete state of negation of mindfulnesses and fana fi Allah.
