The Thought and Function of the Important Ashura Women

The principle of women’s presence in the Ashura caravan is not hidden from anyone, but the reasons for this association can be examined. Imam Hussein (as), who had been under pressure to pledge allegiance with the beginning of Yazid’s rule, left Medina and after living in Mecca for some time, left for Iraq at the invitation of the Kufis. He also took women and children with him on this perilous journey, so well-known people advised him to forbid him from doing so. But the reasons for accompanying the women to the Ashura caravan were more vital than their presence. They accompanied the caravan, not as subordinates, but as the main beads. The main purpose of this study is to examine the thoughts and actions of Ashura women, which can also be a kind of commemoration of their memory and name. The purpose of this study is not to collect encyclopedias in the field of Ashura women, but by stating the orientation of Ashura women and examining their thoughts and actions, seeks to express the influential position of women in the formation of a great movement. By analyzing the performance of women in the field of Ashura and pointing to their unique role, this study invites all women to think and increase the power of analytics in sensitive situations in life. The research method is library, which is a step-by-step process for gathering information from available sources. In this method, after preliminary studies, we collected the required information and then analyzed them. While examining the thoughts of the leading Ashura women, we described their performance in order to understand the importance and necessity of their presence by analyzing the performances. An active and effective presence, to the extent that without them and the performance of the tasks assigned to them, the Ashura uprising will be incomplete in all its grandeur.
