The family plays an important role in the development of children’s personality. Religious teachings emphasize the duty of religious education of the child. Mothers’ employment is one of the issues in gender studies that has been discussed from different perspectives. Tasks such as housework and child rearing affect the presence of women in employment. Mothers have a profound effect on all stages of a child’s development. Religious education is one of the main duties of parents. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between mothers’ employment and their children’s religious education. The method of data collection is semi-structured interview. For this purpose, 13 mothers in Qom were interviewed. For more validity, some housewives, part-time workers and informal workers were interviewed simultaneously using the snowball method. The interviews continued to the point of theoretical saturation. Open, axial and selective coding methods were used to analyze the data. The results showed that the level of knowledge, awareness and skills of mothers in the simultaneous management of employment and education and housekeeping has a high impact.
