The study dealt with a topic related to the sovereignty and security of the Islamic state, which is the topic of (information security), which is intended to preserve information that is of interest to the security and safety of the state and society through research in the Qur’anic verses and the honorable narrations issued by the Prophet, may God bless him and his family and the Ahl al-Bayt, may God’s peace be upon them. This study touched on the definition of the term information security and showed its nature and limits. It also studied the general concept of information security and its divisions, which include political, social, economic, military and other security, and focused on the issue of research, which is extracting the roots of this reformer in his political side in the Qur’an and the narratives. The importance of the subject is reflected in the need to preserve information that preserves the entity of the state and society. Security can only be achieved through preserving information that is of interest to the sovereignty of state security. There may be many studies related to the security aspect in its general form, and many books have been written in this regard, but information security in the Qur’an and Sunnah, I have not found a study similar to this topic, although there are books written in (Information Security). The method followed by the study is the inductive and analytical method, and the research is objective within the limits of the Quranic verses and the purified Sunnah. The main objective of the research lies in an attempt to interrogate the Qur’anic text, which is accompanied by exegetical narrations, the honorable hadiths, and the practical biography of the infallibles (peace be upon them) to know the Islamic viewpoint on this subject. Through this study, the researcher reached several results, the most important of which are: that despite the modernity of the term information security, its roots are found in the Qur’an and Sunnah in terms of the importance of preserving information related to the security of the individual and society and categorizing them in terms of importance and subject and that there are a set of methods to preserve This information should be confronted with the obstacles that expose that information to disclosure and loss
And that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, established a security apparatus for information and he was the supervisor of it.
