The blameworthy is of various types, including the love of equals, the love of the infidels, and the love of the world, and the praiseworthy is either the love of God for the servant, the love of the servants for God, or the love of the servants for other than God. Indeed, God’s love for the servant has signs, including: zeal for the world, good management for him, affliction, and… Among the signs of the servant’s love for God are: love to meet God Almighty, to be intimate with solitude and intercourse, love to support his religion, love for his friends and enmity with his enemies, and… Among the expressions of love for other than God: love for one’s husband, children, wealth, livestock, and plowing, and it is also discovered that the obstacles to the attainment of love are either in terms of love or jurisprudence. Creation, breaking the covenant, following up on the faults of others, and … As for the main requirement that this message was about to clarify, which is the effect of love in the guidance of man, this effect is either in the guidance of the individual or in the guidance of society.
