The aim of the research is to reveal the structure of a group of elements on which the narrative space of the novel (A Small Death) and the knowledge that was invested and employed in the novel were founded. The novel is one of the literary genres that expresses the concerns and problems of contemporary man, and since it is a literary genre with a narrative space that monitors all events and their elements and components. And the place in the novel acquires great importance because it turns in some distinguished works into a space that contains all the narrative elements, including incidents and characters, and the relationships between them, and the place in the novel, whatever its form, is not the place in the external reality, even if the novel refers to it, or its characteristic In the name, as the place in the novel remains an element of its artistic elements, and the writer of the novel (A Small Death) made the place an essential issue, as it played an important role in developing events and highlighting intellectual and spiritual values, and the places and spaces contained in this novel related to the life of (Ibn Arabi) were numerous.) and his upbringing and travels, mentioning (Andalusia), (Alexandria), (Mecca), (Baghdad), (Damascus) and other places associated with the protagonist. Time is an important structure in the fictional work because we cannot imagine a story or novel devoid of this pivotal structure in the narrative process, as every narrative discourse is linked to time, as it includes the life of a living being, including its continuous movement and activity (time is an imaginary thread that controls all perceptions, activities and ideas) which indicates the inability to arrest him or catch him, as he is characterized by impartiality, concealment and control. The novel (A Small Death) followed two different chronological paths. The first path is the path of the biography of Ibn Arabi as seen by the writer from his birth in Murcia to his death in the east in Aleppo, and the second path is the path of the biography of the manuscript that he used to return to among the twelve books of his novel. And then the research dealt with the implications of the characters of the novel, for the large number of characters in the novel and the distribution of their roles between what is major, what is secondary, and what is neglected. A wide area. From this we conclude two important things: the first is that what appears to be a classic style in terms of adopting one main character from the beginning of the novel to its end, does not seem so in terms of the plot style and the use of narration techniques and structural elements of the novel, and secondly that the importance of the characters in terms of their role, whether it is major or Secondly, it does not come from the space occupied by this or that character in the novel, but rather from the importance of the event as the first and last destination of the writer or narrator represented by the character (Ibn Arabi).
