The research aims to identify (the external relations of the Fatimid state with the Abbasid Caliphate from the religious and political point of view(

The Fatimid State is one of the Islamic Caliphate states and the only one among the Caliphate states that adopted the Shiite sect as its official doctrine and ruled from 297 to 567 AH، when its rule lasted for 270 years.

After the establishment of the Fatimid state، they worked to overthrow the Abbasid state religiously and politically and spread the Shiite doctrine، as they considered themselves an extension of the rule of the Commander of the Faithful، Imam Ali، peace be upon him، and the establishment of the Fatimid state in the countries controlled by the Abbasids.

Since its inception، the Fatimid state has gone through two main stages: the stage of the ideological، intellectual da’wa، represented by preachers like Al-Kirmani and Al-Shirazi، which I talked about in the second chapter. The Abbasid state and the establishment of the Fatimids to rule and control the cities under the control of the Abbasids.

The Fatimid state is considered an oppressed state in the media، and we expressed it with this term because it was wronged a lot by the late ones and considered it an outlaw state that came to take power from the legitimate Abbasid state، where many published sources have wronged this great state and made it beyond religion and Islam.

The importance of the message lies in an attempt to shed light on the activity of this (Fatimid) state and to show its importance and imposition of its influence on the external level and external relations in order for the generations to recognize it due to the state of obscurity and an attempt to turn a blind eye to this state and its external relations with the neighboring regimes and peoples on the one hand and with the states that It had diplomatic or commercial relations with its neighboring countries without justification.

I faced several difficulties، foremost of which is the lack of sources for the Fatimid era and their scarcity of Iraqi libraries in general، in addition to the turbulent security situation in Iraq، but with that، I spared no effort in researching and obtaining these sources، whether inside or outside Iraq.
