The main target of our research is to represent the outer effects surrounding the text, such as author’s name, the front cover (the icon), the title, dedication, photos, the foreword, secondary titles, the index, the space of the text, calligraphy, the rear cover, and the relation inside the content. In other words: How did the text’s compartments manifest in the poems of Ahmad Sachit Sherif (Here is my head, you may shop as you like!).
This study treats many problems and cases almost around imagination and the diversity of references used by that who imagine and the technics of different and similar elements in the contemporary Iraqi poetry through many poems. Those poetry samples are distributed on different eras and the study was made on descriptive and analytic bases (expressional) and the result showed that the text compartments have added aestheticism and splendor to the collection of poems, and could create harmony with the text where the poet uses different colors in the cover which give obvious influence, also putting the title in upper middle side of the cover with white color, beside the dedication which helps to understand the content, and the photo which stimulates the reader, rather confuses him to fully understand the text.
But Ahmad Sachit Sherif did not neglect the foreword inattentively as some critics may doubt, but he aimed to face the reader with his poems directly, while the secondary title have been used to clarify the text and show him the writer’s goals. While the index is a kind of remind and warning in the title (as described by Gerard Jennit)
