Stylistic phenomena of the sermons of Iman Hussain (PBUH) in Karbala Incident (A study at the audio and composition level)

Stylistic research in its different levels is one of the best researches that deals with literary works in order to know the author’s style and reveal its aesthetic value, because they analyze and evaluate literary works at different levels including phonetic, syntactic, semantic and etymology. Therefore, the researcher intends to investigate the stylistics of Imam Hussain’s (peace be upon him) speech about the Karbala epic based on descriptive and analytical method. This research has been done in three chapters as follows. The first chapter has two topics. The first topic introduces Imam Hussain’s (peace be upon him) sermons about the Karbala case, and the second topic defines stylistics and its types. And it examines the most important sound indicators of the Imam Hussein’s sermons, peace be upon him, from the types of repetition and Saj‘. And the last chapter is devoted to the investigation of the syntactic level (composite), in which the researcher investigated compositional styles, noun clauses and declarative sentences, as well as Precedence and Delay and at the end of this thesis, the researcher has mentioned the most important results obtained from this research, for instance, the sermons of Imam Hussain, peace be upon him، have different stylistic features, including the variety of verbal styles in discourse and this variety of verbal styles is in harmony with mood and rank. Also، the predicative and essay style has been used, the essay style is used in the position of proving and establishing the meaning, while the predicative style is used in the position of changes and transformations. In addition, Imam Hossein (peace be upon him) has used verbs that indicate the continuation of Hosseini epic in the true meaning and until the Day of Judgment.
