One of the most important things that has been discussed in this research is the expression of Hosseini’s emotional poetic image and its artistic structures in Al-Waeli’s poems, all of which have appeared in his diwans. The study of the poetic image has received much attention among Arabic poetry researchers. Paying attention to
the examination of the image is due to the fact that, on the one hand, an image is a tool with which the poet shows his artistic personality in the context of poetry expression; on the other hand, the image is the artistic and personal criteria of the innovative writer who
creates the images. Despite the many praises that have been said about Al-Waeli’s poems, his poems still shine in the sky of poetry and literature. This is due to the beauty of his descriptions and the artistic imagery of his poetry. The aim of this research is to
understand Hosseini’s emotional image in Al-Waeli’s poetry. The method of this research is the analytical method. In this method, it is not described but only expressed by analyzing theories and reasons and comparing them with reasoning to prove or disprove them. In addition, technical methods have also been used to show the artistic or aesthetic aspect of the text of the poem. The most prominent results of this research indicate that Al-Waili is a follower of the classical school in poetry because he considered free poetry ugly, so he only wrote poetry in the classical way. Most of his poems, including praises and laments, were written in love to the holy prophet and his Ahl-al-Bait (PBUH). These poems are full of passion and influence. Also, through this research, it was found that
Al-Waeli is an artist’s illustration that takes various paths. Sometimes, it starts from the focal image, then expands the area of that image to become a complete image, and sometimes it may present partial images from some directions, which form composite or complete images from the sum of these partial images.
