This research is dedicated to the study of the phonetic system of the Holy Quran, and it deals with the issues of acoustic consonance theory, focusing on the sounds of the Arabic language. This research has also dealt with the theory of phonetic phonology, including the combination of words and sentences, repetition, singing, melodies, etc., as well as the theory of phonetic simulation theory and the characteristics of letters and their meanings.
In this study, the Qur’anic miracle is manifested structurally and logically through the influence of phonetic groups, including phonemes, in a way that causes the Qur’anic discourse to challenge all creatures throughout the life of the universe.
One of the things that can be seen in this miracle is the theory of sound consonance. That is, sounds correspond to the meanings of discourse because the sound system is considered a container for the semantic system. In this research, Qur’anic distance has great importance and a role in terms of structure and meaning. Surah Saba is a clear example of this miracle. Relying on a descriptive-analytical method, this research starts with a theoretical framework and ends with an applied one. The most important results of this research are the following:
- Existence of maddy and semi-phonetic sounds in abundance in some verses of the surah. Maddy sounds are one of the most influential sounds in the rhythmic process because they have musical characteristics that make them more powerful than silent sounds and will therefore be more effective on the listener. Due to the variety of rhythms and the shortness and loudness of the stretch, the maddy sounds have an effect similar to a musical melody.
- The repetition of some sounds in the verses of the surah has its own meanings, which is appropriate to the content of the verse. For example, the repetition of the sound of Noon indicates mental turmoil, and this is a miraculous method of the Qur’an that can express the mental state by simulating phonetics.
- Coherence and coordination between structure and content, which may reach the level of audio simulation, in this surah, in some words such as Rejz, Awwbi, Kharra, Kaffah, etc., the tone of their sounds is in accordance with the meanings that the words fully imply.
