During the Abbasid caliphate period, Hossein’s rites had a significant impact on other societies and religions, especially during the period of Al-Buyeh and Fatemiyoun and others, who quickly spread Hosseini’s rites throughout the Islamic world and led to the recognition of these rites more and more. How has Hosseini rituals affected the performance of the Abbasid caliphs and the general public? And why did some of the Abbasid caliphs change their position towards Hossein’s rites? Why is there a difference in the performance and behavior of the Abbasid caliphs in relation to Hossein’s rites, so that some supported them and some fought against them. The importance of this research is in examining and analyzing the Husseini motto and its effectiveness on the Iraqi society during the Abbasid caliphate period, the role of the Abbasids in spreading Husseini rites and how Abbasid governments and governors deal with these rites. Dealing with this issue due to increasing knowledge about the influence of Hosseinian rituals on the governmental and political structure of the Abbasid era and how these rituals were dealt with by the rulers of that time, as well as the reaction of lovers and followers of Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, in front of the government’s prohibitions and restrictions against these rituals, is of importance. It has a high The importance of this issue in the science of history is also undeniable, because it examines new dimensions of the lifestyle and religious rituals of Muslims and studies the impact of these rituals on their lives in a certain era. Therefore, this is an interdisciplinary research in the field of social history, whose importance in the social field is due to the study of a society in a specific time and place. In this research, using the descriptive analytical method, we have researched and explored the historical events, evidences and documents found in the main sources. According to the results of this research, Iraqi Shiites had a significant role and influence in the Iraqi society, especially in the dissemination and expansion of Husseini rituals, despite the opposition and persecution of the Abbasids, since the government came to the hands of Al-Buyeh. The Abbasids did their best to prevent the power from falling into the hands of the Shias, and on this basis, they destroyed any documents and proofs that prove Hosseini’s rituals in order to prevent the political authority of the Shias and the fall of their caliphate. And it should be mentioned that the most important reasons for the success of the Shiites was the protection and worship of Hossein’s rites. Of course, the neglect of the Abbasid caliphs and the deception and deviation of some of their agents and the spread of different religious sects and currents of thought are also listed as other reasons for the negative attitude of the Abbasids towards the Hossein rituals, in order to create a cover for spreading false ideas and presenting unrealistic results. Doubts and presentation of real evidences and documents related to Hossein rituals should be avoided.
