Seyyed Mohammad Taghi Naghavi Khorasani and his Method of Interpretation in the Book “Zia al-Furqan in the Interpretation of the Qur’an”

The title of this dissertation is “Seyyed Mohammad Taghi Naghavi Khorasani and his method of interpretation in the book” Zia al-Furqan in the interpretation of the Qur’an “. The researcher has used the method of historical research to study the life of Seyyed Naghavi and also in the research has used descriptive and analytical research methods and the dissertation includes introduction and four chapters.

In this treatise, the most important parts of Seyyed Naqavi’s life, including his birth, scientific life, his professors and students, and finally his death, have been studied. We have talked about the method of Seyyed Naqavi, a commentary, and the sources that we have dealt with in the commentary. Including interpretive writings, narrative, linguistic sources, etc.

This research is a summary of the results obtained from this:

– The commentary of Zia al-Furqan is one of the commentaries in which the author has cited effective sources. Seyyed Naqavi has referred to the sources of movable interpretation and language and the Qur’an, in addition to the narrations of the Ahl al-Bayt (as), and has also used the method of rational interpretation.

 – The research showed that: The interpretation of Ziyat al-Furqan is one of the interpretations that its authors have avoided quoting the Israelites, and this result has been the trust of Sayyid Naqvi in ​​the narrations of the Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUH) from reliable sources.

– Research has shown that Seyyed Naqavi has used the commentary of Sheikh Tusi (may God have mercy on him) in such a way that Tebyan commentary has been the main source in his commentary. He quotes what Sheikh Tusi has said that this is clear in the interpretation of many verses.

This research also showed that Zia al-Furqan’s commentary is a protest commentary and the aim of his author was to prove the correctness of his beliefs from the Qur’an and also to prove the correctness of his religion.
