The words of an intellectual are his commodity and, in fact, his weapon, and enable him to spread the thoughts and beliefs that he believes are in the interest of his country and people; now this requires a tool to be able to present their opinions and views to others. Therefore, to advance this goal, it is necessary to trust the media and communications, because they are the most appropriate tools to achieve the desired.

Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate and explain the nature of the role of the Iraqi intellectual media and their impact on public opinion on political authority after 2003. In this study, using a qualitative method and using interviews and observation tools, as well as reviewing documents and selecting a group of experts in various fields as a statistical population (13 people), we tried to answer this main question: “Have Iraqi intellectuals played a role in directing public opinion about political power since 2003?” After collecting the data and analyzing them, the most important results were obtained: From 2003 onwards, Iraqi intellectuals played a role in creating public opinion about political power using the media, regardless of the fact that this role Whether it has been effective or not, and whether it has been considered by important government officials or not, a review of statistical data (interviews and observations) has shown that the Iraqi intellectual in this way faces challenges and difficulties such as internal challenges. Like isolation, identity, cultural and organizational as well as external challenges such as the level of public awareness during the period under study and ideological struggle between political and cultural elites as well as excessive repression and abuse. Despite all these challenges, Iraqi intellectuals have been able to play a role in directing public opinion toward political authority over the years, using media tools.
