The researcher has used the analytical descriptive method using the quantitative content analysis tool, the main question is as follows:What’s the the nature of the media discourse of Dijla & Al_Ittijah channels regarding the protest demonstrations in Iraq in the period from 25/10/2019 to 25/1/2020? The research community was determined by all the news bulletins of channels of Dijla & Al_Ittijah for a certain period of time (93) bulletins for each channel and a sample of (48) news bulletins was distributed among (24) bulletins for each channel. The researcher has achieved results, the most important of which are: the proportion of news hours of the demonstration has reached 80% of the total news bulletins of the two networks with an average (33.57 hours out of 41.99 news hours). The network (Al_Ittijah) placed first with a rate of (87.68%) and the channel (Dijla) with a percentage of (73.39%). The news of the demonstration was first published on the news base of two channels, the biased media discourse was first published on the satellite network Dijla and then the opposition and neutrals were published on the satellite network (Al_Ittijah). The emergence of embellishment (to frighten, intellectual and emotional) respectively in the first three ranks with very close ratios in the media discourse for each of the two channels, the emergence of methods (tone of speech, TV image partiality and important points) respectively in three ranks First, as the most obvious method of media partiality and misinformation about the demonstrations in the media discourse for both channels. The export paths (data and figures, witness reports and hard attack) in the evidence used in the media discourse about the demonstrations of the two networks were placed in the first three positions, respectively. News forms (news with satellite interviews, direct coverage and news with field reports) of these two channels took the first place in the news formats used in the media discourse about the demonstrations. This study was presented with several recommendations, the most important of which is the adoption of a unified Iraqi national discourse, avoiding the political agenda through the media discourse that is intensified in demonstrations, which creates credibility and objectivity, the adoption of credibility and objectivity by satellite networks in dealing with Prevents news that affects national unity.
