The study aimed to search for women’s participation in political life from the point of view of Islamic Sharia and Iraqi covenants, and to clarify the extent of harmony between them in giving women the right to nominate, elect, hold high positions and form political parties. Supporting the Iraqi and Islamic Sharia and achieving equality between women and men, in addition to addressing the importance of the political role of women and its effectiveness in the progress of Iraqi society through their participation in political life and challenging the obstacles of its diversity that prevent women from empowering and participating politically and the comparative approach to compare the position of Islamic Sharia and the Iraqi constitution in The participation of women in political life. women’s rights, so Islam clarified, guaranteed and protected women’s rights These are political rights in which they were based on the principle of equality between men and women, and a higher national committee was established in Iraq to protect women and eliminate discrimination against women, and large educational campaigns were established in Iraq to spread the culture of human rights in society, including women’s political rights. Iraqi women were spiritually, socially and politically in agreement with Islamic Sharia, which honored women, and Iraq recognized the right of women to participate in running for parliament, despite the fact that they did not receive a large number from the House of Representatives in 2005, and the Iraqi constitution was in agreement with the provisions of Islamic Sharia in achieving equality between men. And women in political rights, and Islamic law granted women the right to vote, nominate and hold public positions and party work in accordance with legal regulations, and the study recommended that the researcher shed light on the achievements of Iraqi and Muslim women in previous years in their participation in political life.
