Since the 60s of the last century, the linguistics studies focused on detailing the text as a major linguistic unit and therefore the texts’ studies emerged to take care of the text analysis according to text criteria beyond the sentence to discover the nature of the creative texts with analytic methods, which differ from the traditional known methods. This analysis depends on unveiling the relation between the text’s parts and its indications. Thus, the reaction between the numerous contexts of the text must be noticed (i.e. the linguistic and the form) since the indication of a certain formation cannot be clear except by returning to other formations inside the text itself which built the linguistic context. The text is the result of joining many text criteria otherwise it cannot be regarded as text, and the text tenacity is the most important by which the text form is being stable because it focusses on the linguistic and lexicon sides. By this study named (The Text tenacity in the Verses of Abdul Wahid Abdul Razzaq: A Study based on the Text) we try to discover the deep concepts that lurk behind the tenacity of the poet’s verse texts and harmony in his diwan, and the effect of the words in forming the poetry image. In fact, the poet’s verses deserve such study for its richness in words and indications, which made him differ from other poets. Abdul Wahid Abdul Razzaq is regarded one of the most eminent poets in Iraq and the Arab world in the contemporary time. He formed his verses according to the traditional method of the past times. This study contains a foreword and three chapters, and an appendix of important results of this research.
