The role of the (Technology for Peace) Foundation in confronting the fake election propaganda for October 2021 via Facebook

This study aimed to achieve a number of goals, foremost of which is to identify the role played by (technology for peace) in the face of fake electoral propaganda. The research problem was built on the two variables, and a set of sub-questions escaped from the main question, the most prominent of which was (what is the role of the Technology for Peace Foundation in detecting fake electoral propaganda and the validity of news, and what is its role in raising political awareness of voters, what is its role in selecting suitable candidates, and what is its role in voter participation In the legislative elections of 2021), the researcher relied on the quantitative survey method in this study, where he chose the questionnaire as a tool for collecting the required information about the subject of the study, as the study sample included 384 respondents from the followers of the Technology for Peace page. In light of the findings of this study, the researcher reached a number of results, the most prominent of which was that the respondents’ trust in Facebook as a source of news was medium, with a rate of 66.5%, and the extent to which respondents followed the page (Technology for Peace) was medium, with a rate of (63.2%). The respondents indicated that their confidence in the technology page as a source for knowing election news was high, at a rate of (74.7%). The second place is because the language of its news is neutral with a rate of (27.6%), the study shows that the contribution of (technology for peace) to increasing information and raising the level of awareness of the masses about the current situation was high at (73.4%), the contribution of (technology for peace) was ) in educating voters about the electoral process’s issues is high at a rate of (73.07%), the contribution of (Technology for Peace) to increasing the public’s desire to participate in the legislative elections of 2021 was high at a rate of (71.1%).
